Warfield Church Verger 

This is a great role for someone who could be available during the week and at weekends, and there is a modest payment for you each time you carry out your duties!  The Verger is present during funerals and weddings (and their rehearsals) to help the minister, and to ensure that everything runs smoothly.  The job involves helping to set up the church for the service; welcoming people into the building; playing recorded music through the sound system (sometimes, if required); counting the attendance; and tidying up and locking the church building at the end of the service.

It's an enjoyable role involving only fairly light duties and is a great opportunity to offer the welcoming and compassionate face of Warfield Church to visitors.  If you would like to know more please phone the church office (01344 886900), or email admin@warfield.org.uk.
