The Electoral Roll is a list of all those who are entitled to attend and vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting. It's one way in which you can really play your part as an active contributor to the life of the church.
Anyone can be on the Electoral Roll who
-
is baptised and aged 16 or over;
-
is
-
a member of the Church of England and resident in the parish;
OR
-
a member of the Church of England and, not being resident in the parish, has habitually attended public worship in the parish during the previous six months;
OR
-
a member of a church not in communion with the Church of England which subscribes to the doctrine of the Holy Trinity and has also habitually attended public worship in this parish during the previous six months.
(Note that the word 'parish' here means ecclesiastical parish. You can check whether your address is in the ecclesiastical parish of Warfield by typing your postcode into this search on the 'A Church Near You' website.)
The Electoral Roll is fully revised every six years, and this is one of those years! In the intervening years, you can apply to join at any time. If you have any questions about membership of the Electoral Roll, please ask one of your Congregational Leaders. You could also email electoralroll@warfield.org.uk.
If you were previously on the Electoral Roll
and wish to rejoin it, or if you would simply like to join the Electoral Roll,
you must make an application. You can only apply for yourself; you cannot apply on behalf of anyone else. This year we are able to offer two ways of applying:
-
NEW this year! You will be able to submit a digital Application Form if you log in to our website as a member of Warfield Church. (To find out how to do it, click on the link below to the 'Digital ER - Guidance Notes'.) It's really easy!
-
There is a printable Application Form here on the website. (See the link below.) Download the form, print it out, complete it by hand, and post or deliver it to Warfield Church Office, Church Lane, Warfield, RG42 6EE.
