Volunteer Opportunities

There is always a lot going on at Warfield Church, as we share the love of Jesus with the communities we live in.  That means that there are always lots of opportunities for people to get involved, so if you can offer your time and skills to any of the following, please phone the church office (01344 886900) or email admin@warfield.org.uk.

Little Starz
This is a ministry that has been running for years on Monday mornings at St Michael's, and it is hugely appreciated by those who attend.  The parents and carers of toddlers and babies come to meet each other and enjoy refreshments while they watch over the little ones as they meet and play.  There's always music, and there's always Jesus in the room!

We would dearly love this ministry to continue, but are lacking in some key roles that don't require interacting with children. Could you help with...

  • Setting up on Monday morning (9am-9:45am)?
  • Packing down (11:30am-12pm)?
  • Monitoring the car park, and safe road crossings (10am-10:30am, 11:30am-11:45am)?
C4 Coffee Morning at St Andrew's
The C3 Coffee Morning at the the Brownlow Hall proved to be such a success that we launched something very similar at St Andrew's Church in Priestwood.  It's called C4, which stands for Coffee, Cake, Chat & Craft, and it includes a play area for people who come with their toddlers.  One of the key people who helped to establish C4 has left Warfield to take a job in Kent so we are looking for someone who could come in to supervise and help the team members who remain.  You would be asked to lead the team in establishing the rotas, setting up and packing down, and welcoming the guests.  Please come and join us, and help this great ministry to continue.

Share Bracknell
We host a pop-up food share hall at St Andrew's Church in Priestwood every Friday between 1-3pm.  We collect from a number of food outlets on Thursday evenings including Gail’s Bakery, M&S and Waitrose and take the food to St Andrew’s where it is stored in fridges until Friday lunchtime.  It is a small but practical way to serve the community.  We would be very grateful for a couple of people with cars to volunteer for an hour either at 6pm or 8pm on a Thursday evening.  Please could any potential volunteers email juliet.date@warfield.org.uk.  Thank you.
