Our focus this Lent and Easter: Dreaming and Praying

Prayer is natural to us, but we also have to learn how to do it. The disciples said, “Lord, teach us to pray.” 
 
Are you weary in spirit? Running on empty a bit? Feeling disconnected from God?  
The answer is to be intentional about growing in prayer. The more we connect with God in prayer, the more we come alive. 
 
Rather than giving something up for Lent, we are going to encourage each other to take on growing in prayer! 
 
This Lent we are pulling out all the stops to go deeper into prayer together. We want to inspire everyone to learn how to connect with God and listen to God – of all ages – and offer simple ways that anyone can do to go deeper. 
 
There will be times when we pray for things, but by and large this is about helping us to awaken to the reality of God in Jesus as we grow more aware of His presence. 
 
What God wants most of all is simply to be with you, in your daily life. To walk with you. To guide you. To set you on fire with His love. 
 

Dreaming

In this atmosphere of prayer, we will have an opportunity to share our dreams for Warfield via an online survey, from February 15th to March 15th, which will feed into a PCC vision day.
 

What’s available?

• We won’t be running a course, but Sundays will be focused on prayer and very practical, with follow on suggestions and video testimonies. 
• There will be prayer opportunities and events throughout the weeks – in different locations. 
• Each week the prayer cabin will have an added focus, which will follow our Sunday teaching. Book the prayer cabin
• There will be a daily Lent calendar with ideas for all the family, sent out via WhatsApp.
• There will be occasional suggested fasting times. 
• There will be prayer activities for all ages around Easter, such as the paper chain seen below.
