What to expect
St Andrews is a warm and welcoming congregation. We start at 10:00am and services last approximately an hour. Normally we have AllStarz running (our children's work). We also have a group for school year 7 upwards ("7Up"), which runs twice a month. We also have toys at the back of the church, in an enclosed area for younger ones. Noise isn't really an issue as we can simply turn up the volume of the speakers! Once a month we have a family service.
WHERE: St Andrew's Church, Priestwood Court Road, Priestwood, RG42 1TU
Welcome to St Andrew's Priestwood. St Andrew's has been part of the Warfield Church family since 2014 when the Bishop asked us to take over its running. Several of our existing members decided to make their home there and with the additions of projector screens and comfortable seats it does indeed feel like home. We meet on Sundays at 10:00am combining worship with relevant preaching in a relaxed environment. Our 10:00am service has children’s groups and activities.
For more information about St Andrews e-mail us at [email protected]. We’d love to see you at one of our services in the coming weeks and months.
Services vary in their style including the sung worship, from an organ to guitar and band. Holy Communion is celebrated a couple of times a month. Our liturgy reflects the two thousand years of Christian experience and wisdom we like to draw upon. We've also had panto's, quizzes and crafts as part of services but we are always trying to be authentic and honest in exploring our faith.
But foremost in our minds is that we are in Priestwood and serving the local community. We have a pub, community centre and children's centre all within a hundred metres and residential housing all around. We are called to be salt and light to others, and here we have lots of opportunities to get stuck in and be a visible force for good in Priestwood.
