In the year 1647 Thomas Winder, citizen, and grocer of London, instigated a sermon to be preached at the church of St Michael the Archangel on the Sunday nearest to Guy Fawkes Day.
Every year we invite an eminent speaker to address an area of contemporary concern, past speakers include:
2019 - You may know that this is an event which happens at the beginning of November each year, when we invite someone to come and speak on a matter of contemporary interest from a Christian perspective. Further details will follow, but I am delighted that this year we will welcome Major General Tim Cross to speak on ‘Morally Courageous Leadership’ . The Lecture will be on Sunday 3rd November at 7pm in St Michael’ s Church. Do look out for further publicity to pass to family and friends.
