Notes for Ranelagh Parents
Ranelagh School
Are you a Warfield Church parent of a child, or children, in Years 3, 4 or 5?
Thinking of applying for a Ranelagh School place? Did you know that evidence of regular attendance at church services over two years is an important part of a successful application? (The Ranelagh Admissions Policy 2027 is available here.) Membership of the Electoral Roll is no longer a requirement. Here's a pdf document of Ranelagh Outline Information.
Warfield Church has a well-established system for supporting your application by providing evidence of church attendance. We call it the “Ranelagh Passport” and ideally you need to use this system all through Year 4 and Year 5 of your child’s time in primary school. Each time you attend a Sunday morning church service at Warfield you can ask one of our nominated people to stamp your passport for you. These stamps provide the evidence of your attendance.

Year 4 from September 2026
You will need to come to the church office in late July or in August so we can issue you with a Year 4 passport which you can get stamped from September onwards.
***************************
Year 5 from September 2026 Towards the end of August please come to the church office to collect a new Year 5 passport, and hand in your completed Year 4 passport which we will look after for a year.

Year 6 from September 2026 In September, start filling in the paperwork for making an application for a place in Secondary School. You’ll need to fill in the Common Application Form supplied by the Local Authority and the Ranelagh School Supplementary Information Form (SIF) for entry in September 2027. The name of the applicant on the SIF must be the name on the Ranelagh Passport.
Then, bring your SIF and fully stamped Year 5 passport into the church office as soon as you can. We will then process your application.
