Announcement about Associate Ministers

We are delighted to announce the appointment of two new Associate Ministers for Warfield Church, subject to the usual checks which still need to be undertaken.

Both Ministers will work across Warfield Church but will work particularly closely with two congregations each.

Revd David Brown will lead the congregations of St Michael’s and St Peter’s. David has many years’ experience in Christian ministry and in the Civil Service. He is currently working as a Chaplain for a social action charity and also as an Associate Priest in a parish on the Isle of Wight. Immediately before that, he served as Discipleship Pastor on the team at St Barnabas Church in Finchley.

Reverend Michelle Porter-Babbage will lead the congregations of St Andrew’s and Eternity Bullbrook. Michelle was a nurse for many years, and since ordination has served in a benefice with five churches in and around Bourton on the Water in Gloucestershire.

Providing there are no delays in the DBS process, we expect David and Michelle to begin in Warfield in March.
We are thrilled at this news and look forward to welcoming Michelle and David, and David’s wife Anne, to Warfield. We give thanks for the ways we have known God to be faithful to us through this process, and we trust him for all that is to come.

Revd. Catharine Mabuza
