Baptism Preparation: the Journey Course
In baptism, you as parents are: thanking God for his gift of life, making a decision to start your child on the journey of faith and asking for the Church's support.
For your child, baptism marks the start of a journey of faith, which involves turning away from all that is evil, turning towards Christ and becoming a member of the local and worldwide Christian family.
At Warfield, Baptism preparation is by a 4 week course held several times a year on Sunday mornings. The course is hosted at our All Saints congregation which meets at 10.30am at Warfield CofE Primary School.
The course looks at the meaning of baptism, the practicalities of having your child baptised and how to help your child grow in the Christian faith. Once parents have attended the baptism course they can arrange a date for their child's baptism at any of our Sunday morning congregations.
