All Saints (Warfield) Prayer Focus |
"Continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling for it is God who works in you to will and act according to his good purpose" (
Philippians 2 verses 12 & 13)Christians are in a uniquely privileged position. We have been restored to a right relationship with God because of what the Lord Jesus Christ has done for us by dying in our place (
1 Peter 1 verses18 and 19). God has done this for us - we are saved purely by God's grace.It might seem strange then to read in the Bible that Christians are to work out their salvation! But if we read it carefully we see that God calls us to work out what he has already worked in us!
There are therefore some important implications for us:
So here are some suggestions for prayer and praise for each day of the week:
Sunday - The Lord's Day:

Monday:
Pray for our world
Tuesday: Pray for our nation.
Wednesday:
Pray for God's church worldwide.
Thursday:
Pray for our own Mission PartnersContinue to give thanks and pray for
Andy and Uta Buckler and family as they seek to lead their church in France. Pray for their health and safety. Pray that the gospel will increasing be spread in France and that Christ kingdom will be built in that land.
Friday:
Pray for God's work in our own area.
Saturday:
Pray for ourselves, our families, friends and neighbours.
